HOW TO CONFIGURE LAN AND WAN-BASED console GAMES FOR MULTIPLAYER
LAn multiplayer
1. The Xbox 360 has a feature built in that enables two consoles to connect to each other to play multiplayer games locally. This is called System Link. To System Link a console both consoles require a disc of the chosen game and an Ethernet Cable.
2. Insert the Ethernet cable into the first console, make sure that the cable is secure. 3. Insert the other end of the cable into the second console. 4. You are now able to play games by accessing the System Link mode in the multiplayer section of the game. |
WAN Multiplayer1. To use Xbox Live features the console requires to be connected to the internet, this process is very similar to connecting to the internet using a PC. All you will need is a router with access to the internet service provider, an Ethernet cable and your console.
2. Insert the Ethernet cable into the console, displayed above. 3. Connect the Ethernet cable to the router. Alternatively you can wirelessly access the internet using the Xbox 360 slim as it has a built in wireless receiver providing that your router is outputting a wireless signal. 1. To do this you need to enable wireless access for the console on the Xbox dashboard navigate to the setting tab. 2. Select system 3. And connect to your wireless network from there. |
