Installing a console is a simple process and there isn't too many steps to follow, in this tutorial I will be using the Xbox 360 Slim. This process is very similar to installing other consoles such as the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox one however it would be best to consult other guides to install other consoles.
Before we set up the console it is important to position the console in a good place. It is good to make sure the console is:
- Stable
- Well-ventilated, relatively cool and away from direct heat sources.
- Uncluttered. Do not put other objects on, under or right next to the console.
It does not matter if the console is positioned horizontally or vertically.
1. Connecting the power supply.
2. Connecting the console to the TV
Most consoles have two ways of connecting to the TV, HDMI and a audio/video cable, in this guide I shall be using a audio/video cable, however connecting to HDMI is similar but it needs to be connected to the HDMI ports.
Connect the A/V connector to the A/V port on the console displayed here. Locate the A/V ports on your TV or monitor, these ports are colour coordinated and should be easy to spot. If your TV does not have these ports you will have to connect the console using a HDMI cable. |
3. Turn on the console and TV
